Five Fuerteventura coves you can only see from the sea
Beaches and hidden corners of the south coast that can't be reached by land, and why they're worth discovering under sail.
Fuerteventura's coastline hides small coves that are barely visible from land. From the deck of a catamaran the perspective changes: the water turns turquoise, the cliffs rise higher and silence becomes part of the trip.
What you see from the water
Sailing slowly lets you stop wherever the sea invites you: drop anchor for a while, swim in calm waters and return to the bay in the afternoon light.
When to go to enjoy them
Early morning and late afternoon are the best times: less wind, better light and the clearest water.
In what sea conditions
In calm seas you can anchor almost anywhere along the south coast; if there is swell, the skipper suggests more sheltered alternatives.
